How do I organize my designs into different areas or rooms?

Overview

In XTEN-AV, you can organize your designs by creating and assigning areas or rooms. This helps structure your project more efficiently and makes it easier to manage products within specific sections of your design.

On Search & Add Products page, you can click on the Add Area option to add a new area to your design.

After clicking on it, enter the Area Name and click on the Add Area button.

A confirmation pop-up will appear asking if you want to switch your drawing by area.

Click **Yes, Switch to Area. **Your design will now be organized into separate areas.

Once a new Area is added to the project, all existing products from the BOM will automatically be copied to the Unassigned Area.

Note: If you would like to add / update your product in your Search & Add Product page, after creating multiple area, you need to go to that area and you will be able to edit them. When you add an area to your design, the drawing is automatically converted into a multi-tab view. Please note that once this conversion occurs, all existing connections will be deleted.
