How to customize the Title block?

A Title Block helps you display important project, customer, and organization information on your drawings. X-DRAW provides predefined layouts that you can customize or lets you create a title block from scratch.


  1. Click Settings from the profile menu in the top-right corner.



  1. Under the X-DRAW Settings tab, select Title Block Settings.



  1. Click Add New Title Block.



  1. Enter a Title Block Name and choose the desired Title Block Layout.


Available layouts include:


  • Vertical – Uses a predefined vertical title block that can be customized to suit your requirements.
  • Horizontal – Uses a predefined horizontal title block that can also be customized.
  • Custom – Creates a completely new title block from scratch.



  1. Click Add to create the title block.



Edit the Title Block


After creating the title block, you will be redirected to the Title Block Editor.



Click the + (Add) icon from the toolbar, select Shape, and choose the required shape (such as Rectangle, Ellipse, Rhombus, or Border) to add it to the Title Block canvas.



Once the shape is added, you can resize, reposition, and customize it using the options available in the Style panel on the right.



The editor allows you to fully customize your title block by adding or modifying text, variables, shapes, images, icons, and other elements.


The left panel contains all the available design tools.



Add Dynamic Variables


Expand the Variables section from the left panel.


The available variable categories include:


  • User & Organization
  • Account
  • Contact
  • Project & Design
  • Current Date



These variables automatically populate information in the title block based on the project details entered while creating the project.


To replace an existing variable:


  1. Select the text element containing the variable.
  2. Click the desired variable from the Variables panel.



Configure Paper Size and Orientation


Use the right-side panel to configure the Paper Size and Page Orientation.


The title block automatically adjusts its dimensions based on the selected paper size and orientation, ensuring proper alignment with your drawing.



Save the Title Block


All changes made in the Title Block Editor are saved automatically.


You can also manually save your changes at any time by clicking the Save button.



Go back to Title Block Settings and mark the template as Default.




Apply a Title Block in the X-DRAW Editor


  1. Open your drawing in the X-DRAW Editor.
  2. Click X-DRAW Settings.
  3. Select Title Block Settings and click Add Title Block.



  1. Select the title block you want to use. It will be added to your drawing.
  2. After adding the title block, you can continue editing and updating it directly within the X-DRAW Editor.



Notes


  • Predefined Vertical and Horizontal title blocks can be fully customized.
  • Custom layout allows you to build a title block from a blank canvas.
  • Variables automatically update based on your project information.
  • Paper size and orientation settings ensure the title block scales appropriately for the selected drawing format.
  • Changes made in the Title Block Editor are automatically saved and can also be saved manually using the Save button.
