What information should always be included when creating a custom product?

Overview

If the product you need is not available in the XTEN-AV product library, you can create a custom product directly within X-DRAW. Custom products can be added to your design, included in the BOM, and used in your drawings with configurable port information.

When creating a custom product, always provide the required details, including Brand Name, Model Number, Category, and Product Type. You can also add a Description, Port Information to define the product's input/output connections so they are available and visible in the X-DRAW Editor, and Pricing to include the product in cost estimates and proposals.

You can also include additional product information such as Part Number, Internal Code, Image Link (or upload an image), Spec Link (or upload specifications), and Rack Unit. These optional details help create a more comprehensive product library, making it easier to identify products, access specifications, and maintain accurate project documentation.
