How do I re-order the port information from BOM page?

Overview


The Re-order Port Information feature allows you to change the display sequence of ports for a product directly from the BOM page. This helps organize port information in the preferred order before generating drawings.


  • To edit port information from Search & Add Products page, you first need to copy that product to My Library.
  • Click on the Copy to my lib button displaying next to the name of the item.



  • Once you click on it, you will get a notification that your product has been copied to My Library section. You can now reorder the port details.
  • Click on the Edit button displaying next to the name of the item.



  • In the Product Details window, use the drag handle (six-dot icon) available on the left side of each port row to drag and drop the ports into the desired order.



  • Select the Re-draw device? checkbox to regenerate the device drawing with the updated port sequence.
  • Click Add Product to save the changes.

Important: If you do not select Re-draw device? while saving the changes or do not perform Pull BOM Changes in the drawing, the updated port order will not be reflected in the device drawing.
