How to add Area in design?

You can create a new area and assign products to it from the Search & Add Products page by following the steps below.

On Search & Add Products page, you can click on the Add Area option to add a new area to your design.

After clicking on it, enter the Area Name and click on the Add Area button.

A confirmation pop-up will appear asking if you want to switch your drawing by area.

Click Yes, Switch to Area.

Once a new Area is added to the project, all existing products from the BOM will automatically be copied to the Unassigned Area.

Note: If you would like to add / update your product in your Search & Add Product page, after creating multiple area, you need to go to that area and you will be able to edit them. On the BOM overview page, you will not add/ update your product information.

When you add an area to your design, the drawing is automatically converted to a multi-tab view. Please note that once converted, the drawing cannot be changed back to a single-tab view.
