Difference Between "Transform with AI" and "Rewrite with AI"

Overview

The Scope of Work (SOW) editor provides two AI-powered features that serve different purposes:

• Transform with AI – Updates the SOW by incorporating information from the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Rewrite with AI – Modifies the existing SOW content by improving, shortening, expanding, or refining the text.

Understanding when to use each option helps ensure your SOW remains accurate, complete, and professionally written.

Transform with AI

Use Transform with AI when you have added or updated products in your BOM (Bill of Materials) and those products are not yet reflected in the Scope of Work document.

Use Transform with AI when:

• New products have been added to the BOM.
• Existing products in the BOM have been modified.
• The SOW does not include the latest BOM items.
• You want the SOW to accurately reflect the current project design and equipment list.

Example

Scenario: You add a new display, microphone system, and DSP processor to the BOM.
Result: The SOW still contains the original content and does not mention these newly added products.
Action: Click Transform with AI.
Outcome: The AI updates the Scope of Work and includes descriptions related to the newly added products and their functionality within the solution.

Rewrite with AI

Use Rewrite with AI when you want to modify or improve the existing content already present in the Scope of Work.

Available Rewrite Options

The Rewrite with AI menu provides several content-enhancement options, including:

• Polish It – Improves grammar, readability, and professionalism.
• Make It Short – Condenses the content while preserving key information.
• Make It Long – Expands the content with additional detail and context.

Use Rewrite with AI when:

• You want to improve the writing quality.
• You need to shorten lengthy descriptions.
• You want more detailed explanations.
• You need to adjust the tone or wording of the SOW.
• You want to refine specific sections without changing the BOM-related content.

• Select the text you would like to modify, then click the Polish It option. The AI will automatically rewrite and enhance the Scope of Work (SOW) while maintaining its original intent.

• After clicking the Polish It button, the AI will regenerate and refine the selected content, providing an improved version of the text.

Example

Scenario: The SOW description is too brief and lacks detail.
Action: Select the content and choose Rewrite with AI → Make It Long.
Outcome: The AI expands the text with additional details and professional language.
