Are Proposal ID Changes Applied in Real Time Across the Organization?

Overview


Yes. Changes made to the Proposal ID settings are applied organization-wide in real time. Once the updated settings are saved, the new Proposal ID format is automatically used for all newly created proposals.


How It Works


When an Administrator or authorized user updates the Proposal ID settings, the system immediately applies the new configuration across the organization. No additional setup, synchronization, or manual action is required.
The following changes are supported:

  • Proposal ID prefix updates
  • Numbering sequence modifications
  • Custom format adjustments


Important Notes


  • The updated format applies only to proposals created after the changes are saved.
  • Existing proposals retain their original Proposal IDs and are not modified.
  • All users within the organization will see and use the updated Proposal ID format for new proposals.


Here, you can view the steps to change the Proposal ID.


Project ID and Proposal ID are automatically generated by default. However, you can customize these settings to match your organization’s internal numbering structure.


Steps to Change Project ID and Proposal ID.


  • From the Main Dashboard, click on the “Settings” option in the top-right profile area.




  • Once you click on it, you will find the “Project & Proposal Numbering” option under the “Organization Settings” tab.




Here, you can update your Project ID , Proposal ID and Change Order numbering.
After making the changes, click on “Update Proposal ID” and “Update Project ID” to save them.




Notes: Changes apply only to newly created Projects and Proposals. Existing IDs will not be modified retroactively. Only users with Admin or appropriate permissions can update ID settings.
