How to sync the X-DRAW Design products with the Rack Layout?

Overview

When you add or update products in the Bill of Materials (BOM), you can use the Pull BOM Changes option in the X-DRAW Rack Layout Editor to synchronize the latest BOM information with the Rack Layout.

This allows you to bring newly added or updated products into the Rack Layout and arrange them based on the available Rack Unit (RU) capacity.

  • Open the Design BOM and add or update the required products. Make sure the appropriate Rack Unit (RU) value is assigned to the products.

  • Open the Rack Layout Editor and click Pull BOM Changes.

  • The products from the BOM will be synchronized with the Rack Layout and can be placed in the appropriate rack position as required.

Note

  • The rack will be automatically populated based on the products added to the BOM.
  • Any unoccupied space in the rack will be automatically filled with blank plates.
  • If no rack is added to the BOM, X-DRAW will automatically create a temporary rack in the Rack Layout.
  • The products from the BOM will then be automatically placed in the temporary rack based on their available Rack Unit (RU) values.
  • Once you add a new rack to the BOM and select Pull BOM Changes, the products from the temporary rack will automatically be moved to the newly added rack, depending on the available Rack Unit capacity.
