How to edit/apply Cable & Signal Settings in X-DRAW Design Signal Flow Diagram?

Overview:

The Signal Settings feature allows you to customize cable properties based on the signal type used in your drawing. You can configure the cable color and thickness for different signal types, such as Video, Audio, Control, Network, and Power. These settings help you easily distinguish different signal types and maintain consistent cable styling across your designs.

  • Click on the Profile icon in the top-right corner of the application. From the menu, select Settings.

  • You will be redirected to the Settings page. Click on X-DRAW Settings. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Cable & Signal Settings from the list.

  • At the top of the page, toggle between two tabs:

  1. Cable Settings – Configure Cable Settings and Multi-Tab Settings
  2. Signal Settings –Configure settings per signal type.

  • You can configure the cable properties for the following signal types:

    • Video – Set the cable stroke and thickness for the Video signal.
    • Audio – Set the cable stroke and thickness for the Audio signal.
    • Control – Set the cable stroke and thickness for the Control signal.
    • Network – Set the cable stroke and thickness for the Network signal.
    • Power – Set the cable stroke and thickness for the Power signal.

  • Configure the Cable Thickness and Cable Color according to your requirements. Click Save to save the configured signal settings.

  • Open your Signal Flow Diagram in the X-DRAW Editor. Click on X-DRAW Settings on the top menu bar. Under the Cable Settings section, select Pull Cable Settings.

  • After updating the Pull Cable Settings, click Apply Cable Style to apply the latest style settings. This ensures that the cable styles are updated correctly according to the new configuration.

  • After clicking Apply Cable Style, the updated cable styles will be displayed in your Signal Flow Diagram based on the latest settings.

  • The applied cable settings can also be viewed in the Legend box.

Notes :

  • Signal Settings can be configured separately for Video, Audio, Control, Network, and Power signal types.
  • Only the configured Cable Color and Cable Thickness are applied to the Signal Flow Diagram.
  • The updated cable styles can be viewed in the Legend box of the Signal Flow Diagram.
  • Changes to Signal Settings do not automatically update existing cable styles in the drawing; Apply Cable Style must be used to reflect the latest settings.
