How to automate your cable labels and cable styling?

Objective: This guide explains how to automate cable labels and apply consistent cable styling using X-DRAW Settings, helping you save time and maintain uniformity across your drawings.


Navigate to the Settings.



Accessing X-DRAW Settings


  • In X-DRAW Settings, locate the Cable Label Settings section.




You can assign Prefixes, cable IDs and Colors to different cables. You can also select multiple signal types and group their properties.



After setting up the cable color and naming convention as per your requirement, click on the 'Save' button.



Open your drawing in the X-DRAW editor. **Select the **'X-DRAW Settings' option.


Once you click on it, you can click on the 'Pull Cable Settings' under the 'Cable Settings' option.



To view the updated Cable IDs, click on the 'Number All' under the 'Cable Settings' option.



To view the updated cable style, click on the 'Apply Cable Style' under the 'Cable Settings' option.



After applying the cable setting, you will be able to see the updated cable ID and cable style on your X-DRAW Editor.


Note: Once you apply to Pull cable settings changes, you will have to apply the number settings or style setting again to reflect the changes as per the latest changes.
