How to assign cable ID?

Click on the Profile icon in the top-right corner of the application. From the menu, select Settings.

You will be redirected to the Settings page. Click on X-DRAW Settings. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Cable & Signal Settings from the list.

On the Cable & Signal Settings page, you will find five cable types: Video, Audio, Control, Network, and Power. Select the cable type whose cable id you want to update and click the plus (+) icon on the right to expand and modify its settings.

After clicking the plus (+) icon, a dropdown with additional options will appear. From here, you can assign prefixes, define the cable numbering, the combination of both creates the cable ID and visible on drawing.

Once you’ve made the required changes, click Save to apply the settings.

Open the line schematic in the X-DRAW Editor and create a cable connection between the source and destination. Once connected, the cable IDs will be visible.

There are two methods to apply cable IDs.

First method:

Select Cable Settings under the X-DRAW Settings tab from the top menu bar. Click on it, then choose the Number All option to automatically apply cable numbering based on your cable settings.

Second method:

You can modify the cable ID by double-clicking on the cable between the source and destination. After entering the cable ID, click “Unsaved changes. Click here to save.” to save your changes.

Note: Whenever there is an update to the cable ID, you must first remove the existing cable IDs and then apply the Number All option again to ensure the updated cable IDs are applied correctly.
