Can I assign Category wise Cable IDs?
Yes, XTEN-AV allows you to assign cable IDs based on cable categories. This helps keep your drawings, reports, and documentation clean and well-organized.
Assigning cable IDs by category helps you:
- Easily identify different types of cables (HDMI, CAT6, Audio, Control, etc.)
- Maintain consistency across drawings
- Avoid confusion during installation and troubleshooting
- On the XTEN-AV Dashboard you will find the settings option. Please click on it.

- On the Settings menu, navigate to Cable Settings.

- In order to assign a uniform style and cable Ids format for a category (signal type), check the 'Category wise Cable ID' toggle button. And assign style and cable IDs format.

- Click on the 'Save' button to save your changes.

- Open the Line Schematics in the X-DRAW editor.

- After connecting the ports, click Pull Cable Settings and Apply Cable Style under Cable Settings to view the updated cable information.
- Click Save to apply and keep your changes.
