Adding a Room Option in x.doc can provide your clients different alternatives / optional products. You can add multiple room options in x.doc for a specific room. This feature is particularly useful when you want to offer multiple setups for a room, such as a Zoom room. Each option may vary in cost depending on the selected items. Follow the steps below to add a Room Option:
Adding a Room Option
Navigate to the 'Rooms & Items' page.
Locate the 'Action' button, denoted by three dots, and click on it.
From the drop-down menu, select 'Add Room Option.' Please Note that the User can add at most 2 room option in a room.
A dialogue box will open, asking whether you want to copy the items from the current room or start from scratch. For this example, let's choose to copy the items.
You will then see two different options added to the selected room.
Adding Items to the Room Option
Add items to the Room Option by clicking the 'Add item' button.
Search for the item using the search bar, then click 'Add' to include it in the Bill of Materials (BOM).
Once added, you'll see the item in the BOM.
Now, your proposal is ready to be sent to the client with the added Room Option.
Sending the Proposal
Navigate to the 'Actions' button and select 'Review & Submit' from the drop-down menu.
On the 'Review & Submit' page, you can edit and customize the email. You can change the subject, body, and add additional emails to CC or BCC.
After making the necessary changes, click the "Send to Client" button.
Client View
Once you send the Proposal, the client will see it as follows:
The client needs to go to the 'Rooms & Items' page, where they can switch between two different options.
They can evaluate the cost variation in the 'Pricing Breakdown' section.
The client can then revert to the 'Rooms & Items' page, select the option they want to opt for, and click on the 'Accept' button on the right side.
A dialogue box will appear, confirming the chosen room options. They need to click on the 'Accept' button here.
Post acceptance, the unselected room option will vanish, leaving only the chosen Room option items. Moreover, the proposal will also get accepted.
