# What is Re-Draw Device Option and how it works?

**Overview:**

The **Re-Draw Device** feature allows users to modify existing ports or add new ports to a product block in the X-DRAW Editor. When re-drawn, the existing connection lines are removed, so users must reconnect the required connections after updating the device.

* To modify the ports of a product or add a new port, click on the **Re-draw device** option. The block will be displayed in the Line Schematics only after selecting this option.
* You can add more ports or change your existing block in the **X-DRAW Editor** by selecting this option.
* Go to the **Search & Products** section, then click the **Edit** option next to the item name.

* You will be redirected to the Update Product Details page. Click the **Re-Draw Device** option, then select **Add Product**.

**Note:**

* When you use the Re-Draw Device option, any existing connection lines linked to the block will be removed.
* The block is recreated from scratch, so you will need to reconnect all required connections after modifying the device.
