# What is Chatter?

Chatter is a collaboration feature that allows you to communicate with your team members and share project files, proposals, and designs in real time. It helps your team stay connected and collaborate efficiently within the platform. There are two ways to use the Chatter functionality.

**Method 1:**

From the left navigation panel, click **Chatter**.

The Chatter page allows you to start individual conversations, create group chats, and access your existing chats.

Click **Create Group** button.

Here you can create new chat, group and can also view your previous created groups.

A pop-up window will appear where you can:
* Create a new one-on-one chat
* Create a group chat
* View your previously created groups

Click **Create New Chat**.

Search for a team member using the search bar or select one from the available list. Click **Start Chat**.

You will be redirected to the chat window, where you can begin your conversation.

You can share files directly with your teammates during a conversation. Click the **Upload** icon in the chat window.

Select **Share Project File** to share documents from your project.

A list of project documents will be displayed. Browse the available files and select the document you want to share with your teammate.

Once you select the document, it will be automatically shared with your teammate in the chat. You can then continue the conversation by sending messages.

Type your message in the message box. Click the **Send** button.

Your message and any shared files will be delivered instantly to your teammate, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly.

**Method 2:**

#### Steps to Use the Chatter Feature inside the Project

1. **Access the Project:**

* Go to the project in which you want to use the Chatter feature.

2. **Open Chatter:**

* On the Project page, click on **Chatter** under the **Collaboration** option.

Once you click on it, you will be redirected to the Chatter page, where you can directly communicate with your teammates.
