# What information should always be included when creating a custom product?

**Overview**

If the product you need is not available in the XTEN-AV product library, you can create a custom product directly within X-DRAW. Custom products can be added to your design, included in the BOM, and used in your drawings with configurable port information.

* When creating a custom product, always provide the required details, including **Brand Name, Model Number, Category,** and **Product Type**. You can also add a **Description**, **Port Information** to define the product's input/output connections so they are available and visible in the **X-DRAW Editor**, and **Pricing** to include the product in cost estimates and proposals.

* You can also include additional product information such as **Part Number, Internal Code, Image Link (or upload an image), Spec Link (or upload specifications),** and **Rack Unit**. These optional details help create a more comprehensive product library, making it easier to identify products, access specifications, and maintain accurate project documentation.
