# What happens after exceeding the maximum OTP attempts during 2FA login?

**Objective**

During the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) login process in XTEN-AV, users must enter a valid One-Time Password (OTP) to securely access their account.
If a user enters an incorrect OTP multiple times and exceeds the maximum allowed verification attempts, the login verification process will be automatically disabled for security reasons.

## What Happens After Multiple Failed OTP Attempts?

* The system monitors unsuccessful OTP verification attempts to help protect user accounts from unauthorized access.
* If too many incorrect OTP entries are made:
* The current login verification session will be automatically disabled.
* The previously generated OTP will become invalid.
* Users will no longer be able to continue the current 2FA verification process.

## What Should Users Do Next?

1. Stop attempting additional OTP entries.
2. Contact the XTEN-AV Customer Support team for assistance.
3. The support team will help verify the account and guide users through restoring login access.
