# What are Service Call Stages and how do they work?

In XTEN-AV X-Pro, Service Call Stages are used to track the progress of a service request. Stages help teams understand the current status of work, assign responsibilities, and monitor project execution efficiently. XTEN-AV allows administrators to create and customize these stages based on their workflow requirements.

Click on the **Profile icon** in the **top-right corner** of the application. From the menu, select **Settings**.

To customize the Service Call Stages, go to **X-PRO Settings**. Under the **Service** section, select **Service Call Stages**. From there, you can edit, reorder, or manage the stages used throughout the service call workflow.

You will see a list of all available Service Call Stages. Click on the stage name to modify it as needed, or use the **6-dot drag handle** to reorder the stages by clicking and dragging them to the desired position. Any changes made will be saved automatically, so no additional save action is required.

Once the changes have been made, navigate to the **Service Call Dashboard** to view and verify the updated Service Call Stages. The changes will be reflected automatically across the service call workflow.
