# How to Create or Update a Purchase Order (PO) in Xero via XTEN-AV?

**Overview**

You can create new purchase orders or update existing ones in Xero through XTEN-AV. This helps you manage purchase order details associated with your proposals and maintain an organized purchasing workflow.

* Navigate to the **X-DOC** section and select **X-DOC Dashboard** from the left navigation menu.

* Locate the proposal for which you want to create or update the purchase order, then select the three-dot (**Action**) button.

* Under **XERO OPTIONS**, select **Create/Update Purchase Order.**

* Fill in all the mandatory fields and click the **Save** button to create or update the purchase order in Xero.

* The proposal will appear in Xero under the **Purchase Orders** section.
