# How to show room wise labor in a x.doc editor/client PDF?

**Overview**

This article explains how to display **labor costs room-wise** in the **x.doc editor** and ensure the same details appear correctly in the **client PDF**. Showing room-wise labor helps clients clearly understand labor distribution across different rooms.


* Navigate to the **Rooms** **&** **Items** page. Click on **Labor** **Settings**. Update your labor settings as required.

* Under Labor Settings, select the **Custom** **Labor** option, set **Custom** **Labor** **Settings** to **Room** **Wise**, and then click **Save** **&** **Close** to apply the changes to your individual proposal.

* After changing the labor type, a new **Labor Breakdown** section will appear below the **Rooms & Items** section. Click **Add Labor** to start adding custom labor entries.

* In the **Add** **Labor** dialog box that opens, enter the **Labor** **Description** and **Daily** **Rate**.

* After adding labor, it will appear under the **Labor Breakdown** section.
* To add custom labor to a specific room, select the room in the **Labor Breakdown** section and repeat the same steps.

| Notes: Labor will appear room-wise only if it is assigned to individual rooms. If labor is added globally, it may show as a combined total instead of room-wise.
