# How to rename a Section? 

**Introduction**

Renaming a section in your X.DOC document is a simple process that helps you better organize your content and make your document easier to understand for others. Follow the steps below to update a section name.


**Renaming a Section in x.doc Document**

* Navigate to the Section you want to rename. Click the **Edit Name** option under the Action icon ( ⋮ ) to update the section name.

* After clicking the Edit Name button, enter the new section name and click the **checkmark (✔)** button to update the section name.

* After updating the section name, you can view the updated section name in your proposal.
