# How to hide the description header of item in proposal?

**Overview**

The Show/Hide Details feature in X-DOC allows you to customize how your **Bill of Materials (BOM)** appears in the **Rooms & Items** section of your proposal. It allows you to Hide the description in the PDF version of the BOM. 

**Steps** **to** **Hide** **the** **Item** **Description**

* Navigate to the **Rooms & Items** section of your proposal and click **Show/Hide Details** on the right-hand side of the page.

* The **Show/Hide Details** dialog box will open. Uncheck the **Description columns** to hide in the proposal PDF, then click **Save** to apply the changes.

* After saving, the **product descriptions will no longer appear in the proposal**.
