# How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?


**Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account with a randomly-generated, one-time password (OTP) in addition to your username and password.** 

* You can enable 2FA by visiting the **My Account** page under your profile.

* Under the **Security** Tab, click on the **Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).** Click on the **Click here** link, and it will open the password verification option where you need to enter your password can verify it by clicking on the **Verify** button.

* Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) requires users to enter a one-time password (OTP) sent using their preferred channel (Email or Mobile SMS) in order to access your XTEN-AV account. 

* To enable 2FA, You must verify that you are the owner of email and mobile by sending an OTP on each of them 

***Note: While entering the mobile number, make sure your number should not be linked with other XTEN-AV Account.***

* Enter the OTP you received on your email address and mobile number and click on the **Verify** button.

* Once it is verified, click on the **Enable 2FA** button.

**Important Notes**

* Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is **not available for Free Trial accounts**.
* After enabling 2FA, an OTP will be required during every login for enhanced account security.
