# How to edit the name of Payment Schedule in X-DOC?

**Overview**

Payment Schedule allows you to define structured payment milestones within a proposal. You can also update the name of an existing Payment Schedule to ensure better clarity, alignment with project requirements, or client-specific labeling.

* Open the required Proposal and navigate to the **Payment Schedule** section.

* Click on the **three-dot (Action) icon** next to the Payment Schedule name.
* Select **Edit** from the dropdown menu.

* Enter the updated Payment Schedule name in the field provided.
* Click on the **check (✓) icon** to apply the changes.

* The updated name will be reflected immediately.
