# How to edit a product Selling price on the Rooms & Items page? 

**Overview**

This article explains how to edit the **selling price of a product** from the **Rooms & Items** page in x.doc. Updating the selling price allows you to customize pricing before sharing the proposal with the client.


* Open your proposal and go to the **Rooms & Items** page in x.doc. Navigate to the **room** that contains the product you want to edit. Locate the **product/item** whose selling price needs to be updated.

* Clicking the **Edit** icon opens the **Edit Product Details** panel, where you can directly update the product’s selling price.
* Similarly, click the **pencil icon** to update the product markup; once you change the selling price, the markup is calculated automatically—then click **Save & Close** to apply the changes.

* After you've updated the product details, you can view them under the '**Rooms** **&** **Items**' Section.

| Note: Changes made to the selling price will automatically reflect in the Price Summary and x.doc document. Make sure you have the required permissions to edit product pricing. Always review the updated price before generating the Client PDF.
