# How to create X-DOC documents from Scratch? 

**Overview**

X-DOC documents from scratch allow you to build fully customized proposals and structured documents directly in the X-DOC editor without using templates.

* Click the **X-DOC** tab, then select **Templates** from the left navigation menu.

* Once you click on it, you will be redirected to the **Templates** page. Select **Start from scratch** to create a new **X-DOC document**.
