# How to Create a Scope of Work (SOW) Template from Scratch?

**Overview**

The **Scope of Work (SOW) Template** feature allows users to create a custom SOW template from scratch and reuse it for future SOW. This is useful when your organization requires a standardized project scope document tailored to specific workflows and customer requirements.

**Steps** **to** **Create** **a** **Scope** **of** **Work** **Template** **from** **Scratch**

* From the main dashboard, navigate to the **X-DOC** section and select the **Templates** option.

* Under the **My template**, click **Scope of Work**. Existing SOW templates will be displayed.

* Click the **Start from Scratch** option.

* After clicking the option, you will be prompted to enter a name for your template. Provide a descriptive name and proceed to save the template.

* After clicking the Create button, the newly created template will appear in the SOW Templates section. From there, you can preview, edit, or further customize the template as needed.

* Click on the **Edit** template to Edit it.

* After clicking the Edit button, you will be redirected to the Editor page, where you can make any necessary changes and customize the template according to your requirements. After making the changes hit Save templates.
