# How to create a new Layer in X-DARW Editor?

* Navigate to your project and open the design in the **X-DRAW editor**. Once the editor opens, go to the top-left corner, click the **layer panel icon**, and select the **Layers** option.

* Once the **Layers** panel opens in the **top right corner**, it will display the existing layers in the design. Click on the **+ button** in the panel to create a new layer.

* A new layer will be created and added to the list of layers in the panel.

* Once you create the layer, click on the **Unsaved Changes** button to save your changes.
