# How to change the Element Border Color and Style? 

**Introduction**

Customizing the border color of elements such as **shapes**, **images**, or **PDFs** in x.doc allows you to enhance the visual appearance of your document.

**Changing the Border Color of an Element**

* Select the element **(Shape, Image, or PDF)** you want to change the border color.

* From the right-hand panel, click the **Border** option.

* From the **Border** options, select the desired border **color**. You can also adjust the border **width** or change the border **style** as per your requirement.
