# How to change Project ID and Proposal ID from default Settings?

### Overview
Project ID and Proposal ID are automatically generated by default. However, you can customize these settings to match your organization’s internal numbering structure.

**Steps** **to Change** **Project** **ID** **and** **Proposal** **ID.**

* From the **Main Dashboard**, click on the **Settings** option in the top-right profile area.

* Once you click on it, you will find the **Project & Proposal Numbering** option under the **Organization Settings** tab.

* Here, you can update your **Project ID** , **Proposal ID** and **Change** **Order** numbering.
* After making the changes, click on **Update Proposal ID** and **Update Project ID** to save them.

| Notes: Changes apply only to newly created Projects and Proposals. Existing IDs will not be modified retroactively. Only users with Admin or appropriate permissions can update ID settings.
