# How to change Cable ID Color as per signal type?

* **Overview:**

The **Color Cable ID as per Signal Type** feature helps you quickly identify different types of cable connections in your drawing. By automatically applying different colors to cable IDs based on their signal type, you can make your drawings easier to read, understand, and manage, especially when working with a large number of cable connections.

* Click on the **Profile icon** in the **top-right corner** of the application. From the menu, select **Settings**.

* You will be redirected to the **Settings** page. Click on **X-DRAW Settings**. A drop-down menu will appear. Select **Cable & Signal Settings** from the list.

* Enable the toggle of **Color Cable ID as per Signal Type** option under **Cable** **Settings**, then click **Save** to apply the changes.

* To apply the changes, open your drawing in the **X-DRAW Editor** and select **X-DRAW Settings** from the top menu. Under **Cable Settings**, click **Pull Cable Settings** to apply the updated settings to your drawing.

* After updating the **Pull Cable Settings**, click **Apply Cable Style** to apply the latest style settings. This ensures that the cable styles are updated correctly according to the new configuration.

* After clicking **Apply Cable Style.** The cable colors & cable ID will update automatically based on the cable type.
