# How to automate your Cable Labels and Cable Styling?

**Overview**

This guide explains how to automate cable labels and apply consistent cable styling using X-DRAW Settings, helping you save time and maintain uniformity across your drawings.

* From the **Dashboard**, navigate to the **Settings** option.

* In **X-DRAW Settings**, locate the **Cable & Signal Settings** section.

* Select **Signal** **Settings**, then choose the Cable type you want to modify. You can assign **Prefixes**, **Cable** **IDs** and **Colors** to different cables. You can also select multiple signal types and group their properties.

* After setting up the cable color and naming convention as per your requirement, click on the '**Save**' button.

* Open your drawing in the **X-DRAW** **Editor**. Select the **'X-DRAW Settings**' option. Once you click on it, you can click on the '**Pull Cable Settings**' under the '**Cable Settings**' option.

* To view the updated cable style, click on the '**Apply Cable Style**' under the '**Cable Settings**' option.

* After clicking **Apply Cable Style**, the updated cable styles will be displayed in your drawing based on the latest settings.

* To view the updated Cable IDs, click on the '**Number All**' under the '**Cable Settings**' option.
