# How to add Optional products/Room Options in X-DOC?

**Introduction**

Adding a **Room Option** in **X-DOC** allows you to provide your clients with different alternatives or optional product configurations for a specific room. You can create multiple room options within the same room to showcase various setups.

This feature is especially useful when offering different configurations, such as multiple setups for a room. Each option can include different items and may vary in cost based on the selected products, giving clients flexibility to choose the solution that best fits their needs and budget.

**Adding a Room Option**

* Navigate to the **Rooms & Items** section and click on the **three-dot icon**. From the list of options that appears, select **Add Room Option**.

* A dialog box will appear asking whether you would like to copy the items from the current room or start from scratch.
* Please click **Yes** if you wish to copy the existing items.

* After making your selection, the newly created room option will appear on the left side of the room design heading.

**Adding Items to the Room Option**

* Select the option in which you want to make changes. Then, click on the **Add Item** button to proceed.

* The **Add Products** window will appear on the right side of the page.
* Select the appropriate **Library**, then use the **search bar** below to find the desired product. The products will be filtered based on your search input.
* Once you locate the required product, click the **Add** option to include it in the BOM.

* Once the item has been added, it will be visible in the **BOM**.
* Your proposal is now updated and ready to be shared with the client, including the newly added **Room Option**.
