# How to Add a Description to the Room & Item Section of a Proposal?

**Overview:**

The Room Description feature allows users to add a detailed description and images to a specific room within the Rooms & Items section of a proposal. The description is automatically saved and can be shared with the client. It is also included in the exported client PDF, allowing the room details and supporting images to be presented as part of the final proposal.

**Add Description to Room & Items section**

Open your proposal and navigate to the **Rooms & Items** section where you want to add a description.

Click on the **Action** icon **(three dots)** and select **Add Description** from the dropdown menu.

Once you click on **Add Description**, a description section will appear at the top of the Items list.

You can enter a description for the room and add images as required.

Once you add the description, it will be **automatically saved** to your proposal.

**Note:**

1. The room description can be shared with your client and will also be included in the **exported PDF** of your proposal.
2. Similarly, you can add a description to **Custom Labor** for each room. This functionality is currently available only in the **Rooms & Items** section and for **Custom Labor**.
