# How do I update an existing X-DRAW template?

**Overview**

You can update an existing **X-DRAW template** in XTEN-AV so that all future documents reflect the latest changes. This helps keep your templates aligned with updated content or requirements without the need to create a new template.

From the dashboard, navigate to X-DRAW and click on the **Templates** option to open the template library.

After clicking on it, navigate to the **My Templates** section. Hover over the **X-DRAW template** and click on the **three-dot (⋮)** option to access additional actions.

After clicking on the three-dot (⋮), select **Edit Template** from the menu.

You will be redirected to the Template **Design Documents** page, where you can make the required updates to the template content, layout, and drawings

| **Note: Any changes made on the Template Design Docs page are automatically saved to the template. The updated template will be available for immediate use in future designs and documents.**
