# How do I save a predefined X-DOC template as my own template?

**Overview**

XTEN-AV provides a library of predefined X-DOC templates that you can use as a starting point for your proposals. If you want to customize a predefined template and reuse it in the future, you can save it as your own personal template.

**Steps** **to** **save** **a** **predefined** **X-DOC** **templates**

* From the main dashboard, click the **X-DOC** tab, then select **Templates** from the left-hand navigation menu.

* Browse the available predefined X-DOC templates, then hover over the desired template, click the **three**-**dot** menu, and select **Create** **Template** to generate a new template based on it.

* After clicking Create Template, enter a name for the new template and proceed to create it.

* Open the **My** **Templates** section. Your newly saved template will now be available for future use.
