# How do I rename a design?

**Overview**
You can rename a design in XTEN-AV to give it a more meaningful or updated name. Renaming a design makes it easier to identify and manage within your project without affecting its content or associated documents.

**Steps** **to** **Rename** **a** **Design**

* Navigate to **Projects** from the left navigation menu.

* Select the project.

* Locate the design you want to rename. Click the **More Options** (three-dot) menu on the design card.

* Select **Edit Details** Option.

* Enter the new name for the design.

* After clicking the Save button, the design name will be updated and the changes will be reflected throughout the project.
