# How Do I Manage Layers and Organize My Drawing Better?

**Objective**

In X-DRAW, you can efficiently organize your drawings in X-DRAW using the Layers panel and layout tools. This helps you manage complex designs, improve visibility, and maintain a clean structure.

### Managing Layers
* On the left-hand side of the editor, locate and click on the **Layers** option.

* The Layers panel will open, displaying existing layers. Click on the **+** button in the Layers panel.

* A new layer will be created and added to the list.

**Rename the Layer**

* Double Click on the layer name. Enter a meaningful name (e.g., *Audio*, *Video*, *Control*, *Cabling*) to keep your drawing organized.

**Delete Layers**

* To remove a layer, click on the **layer name** to select it, and then click on the **Delete** button next to the respective layer in the Layers panel. This will remove the selected layer from the design.

Once the layer is deleted, its name will be removed, and the updated list of layers will be reflected in the Layers panel.
