# How do I enable or disable page numbers?

**Overview**

In XTEN-AV, you can enable or disable page numbers in your PDF documents to control whether page numbering appears on exported or shared files.

* Open the required proposal or document in the **X-DOC editor**.
* Click on the **Settings** option available left side of the page.

* Click on **Page** under the **Preset Style Settings** section.

* To **enable** page numbers, check the **Page Number** checkbox.

* To **disable** page numbers, uncheck the **Page Number** checkbox.

* Click on **Save Changes** to apply the updates.
