# How do I drag and drop a document into X-DOC?

**Overview**

The **Drag and Drop** feature in **x.doc** lets you quickly upload a existing documents/file by dragging it into the upload area. Once uploaded, **x.doc** automatically converts the file into a new proposal that you can edit, customize, and share.

* Navigate to the **x.doc Dashboard** and click **Create New**.

* On the **Templates** page, locate the **Drag and Drop your file here** upload area.
* Drag and drop your **.doc**, **.docx**, or **.pdf** file into the upload area. Alternatively, click **Select file** to browse and upload your document from your computer.

* You can drag and drop the file to create an **x.doc** document, Alternatively, Choose your file and click **Open**.

* After uploading the file, please enter the required details and click the **Create** button.

* Once you click the Create button new section in your x.doc will be created based on your document name, and all existing pages in the document will be automatically organized under the new section.
