# How do I Download Room Wise Items in BOM?

**Overview**

X-doc allows you to download **room-wise BOM (Bill of Materials) items**, making it easy to review and share item details grouped by rooms directly from the document.

* Navigate to the required proposal and open it in the X-doc editor. Click on the Rooms & Items page of your proposal.

* Under **Rooms & Items Settings**, select **Room Wise** as your **Layout Preference**. This will organize items by room in the BOM file you download.
* The **Rooms & Items summary page** will also be included in the Room Wise BOM.
* Click **Save & Close** to apply and save your changes.

* Navigate to the 'Actions' button in the proposal. Click on the Download or Export option. Select the required format (for example, Excel or PDF) and proceed.

* Open the downloaded file. You will be able to view the 'Rooms & Items' organized by room.
