# How do I customize table headers?

**Overview**

In XTEN-AV, you can customize table header styles in the X-DOC editor to control the appearance of the header row in tables.

* Open the required proposal or document in the **X-DOC editor**.
* Click on the **Settings** option available left side of the page.

* Click on **Table** under the **Preset Style Settings** section.

* Locate the **Header** under the **Table** section.

* Customize the available options:
* **Font Family** – Select the desired font style for table header text.
* **Color** – Choose the text color for the table header content.
* **Vertical Border** – Choose the color and set the border thickness as required (e.g., 1, 2, etc.).
* **Bottom Border** – Choose the color and set the border thickness as required (e.g., 1, 2, etc.).

* Review the changes in the table preview.

* Click on **Save Changes** to apply the updated header styling.
