# How do I create and reuse custom products?

**Overview**
XTEN-AV allows you to create custom products and reuse them across multiple projects, helping you save time and maintain consistency in your designs and proposals. Using custom products helps you build a personalized library tailored to your business, improving efficiency and accuracy across all your projects.


**Steps** **to** **Create** **a** **custom** **Products**

* Go to **Search & Add Products** page. Here you will find the option to add a custom item. Click on the "**Add Custom item**" option.

* Select the **Single Product** option

Fill in the product details as per your requirements. If you want to add ports information for your custom item, Click on the **Add Port** option.

You can add multiple ports to your product by clicking on the '**Add Port**' information. Fill in the ports details as per your requirements. Click on the **'Add product'** button to save your product.

After creating the product, it will appear in your **BOM and X-DRAW Editor** with port information.

**Reusing** **custom** **products:**
* Once a custom product is created, it gets saved in your **product library**.

* You can access it in future projects by searching for the product name while adding items. This allows you to quickly reuse previously created products without entering details again
