# How do I configure Overall Labor in X-doc?

**Overview**

The **Overall Labor** method in x.doc allows you to apply labor costs to the entire proposal instead of assigning labor to individual products.

1. Navigate to the **Rooms & Items** page of your proposal editor page.

2. Open the **Labor Settings** for the proposal where you want to apply labor.

3. Select **Overall** as the Labor Type. 
4. Enter the required values for the labor headers. You can add custom labor headers, click the **Add Header** button to Add Header. 
5. Click **Save and Close** to apply the changes.

6. Once you've added the labor, it will appear in the **Pricing Breakdown** section in the x.doc editor and Client PDF.
