# How do I change the page background color in an X-DOC document?

**Overview**

X-DOC allows you to customize the appearance of elements by changing their background color. This helps you highlight important content, improve readability, and maintain a consistent design throughout your proposal.

* Open the required proposal in **X-DOC**.
* Go to the page and from the right-side panel, locate the **Change** **Background Color** option.

* Click the color picker and select the desired color.
