# How do I add a sub-location to an existing location?

**Overview**

The **Sub-location** feature in **XTEN-AV** allows you to further organize an existing location by creating additional areas, making it easier to manage your designs and project assets.

* Open the project that contains the location where you want to add a sub-location.
* Under the **Locations** section, click the **+ icon** next to the existing location name.

* Enter a **Sub-location Name**. Click **Add Sub-location** to save your changes.

* The new sub-location will appear under the selected location and can be used to organize your designs and project assets.
