# How can I create a Rack design without creating an X-DRAW design?

**Overview**

You can create a rack design directly using the **Rack Builder tool** without creating an X-DRAW project. This option is available under **AV Tools** and allows you to quickly design and configure rack layouts independently.
The rack builder enables you to add devices, auto-generate layouts, and visualize your rack without needing a full design workflow.

* Go to the **AV Tools** option available on the left-side panel. Select the **Rack Design** option.

* Add the required devices/equipment to your rack. Configure and adjust the rack layout as needed.

* **Save** or **export** the rack design once completed.
