# How can I create a new product in X-DRAW?

**Overview**

If the product you want to use is not available in the XTEN-AV product library, you can create a **custom product** directly within **X-DRAW**. Once created, the product can be used in your drawings and added to your BOM.

**Steps** **to** **Create** **a** **New** **Product** **in** **X-DRAW**

* First you have to Create a design, using the **X-DRAW method**, and go to **Search & Add Products** page. Here you will find the option to add a custom item. Click on the **Add Custom Product** option.

* Select the **Single Product** option

* Fill in the product details as required, click **Add Port** to add and configure port information (you can add multiple ports if needed), and then click **Add Product** to save the product.

* After creating the product, it will appear in your **BOM** with port information.
