# How can I create a copy or make a second revision of my design?

**Overview**

If you want to create a **second revision** or keep a backup of your design, you can **duplicate the existing design/project** in XTEN-AV. This allows you to make changes to the new version without affecting the original design.

**Steps** **to** **Create** **a** **Copy** **/** **Second** **Revision**

* Navigate to the View Design Doc page for which you want to create a version. Then, click on the **View Version** option located in the right side of the page.

* Once you click on it, you will be redirected to the **Versions** page. From there, you can create a new version of your design by clicking on the **Create Copy of Original Design** button.

* A pop-up will appear to enter the version name. Once you’ve entered the name, click on the **Create Version** button to create the new version.

* You can view all your design versions on the **Versions** page.

* To edit and update your design version, select the version you want to edit, click the **Settings (⚙️) icon** on the right side of the version name.

* Click the **Edit** button under the **Actions** section.
