# How can I add port information to my design to create a product block?

**Overview**

Adding port information to a design(Product block) allows the system to recognize the connections between devices. This information is essential for generating drawings such as **Signal Flow Diagrams** and **Line Schematics**.


* To edit port information from '**Search** **&** **Add** **Products**' page, you first need to copy that product to My Library. Click on the '**Copy** **to** **my** **lib**' button displayed next to the name of the item.

* Once you click on it, you will get a notification that your product has been copied to 'My Library' section. You can now update your product port information. Click on the **Edit** button displaying next to the name of the item.

* To add the port information to your product, click on Add port to add the port details.

* Edit the product’s **port information**, click on **“Re-draw Device?”** to view the updated ports in the **X-DRAW Editor**, and then click **“Add Product”** to save the changes.

| Note:- Re-draw Device:- If you select this option any line connected to this block will be deleted and it will be created from scratch.
